Set of 2 Gispen chairs from the 60s, designed by and manufactured by Gispen.

Original Gispen chair model 1235 designed  in 1960. The frame is made of tubular steel, chromed and the seat and back of wood, covered with foam and the original blue skai. The armrests are made of bakelite. At the back of the backrest, the frame forms a handle. The previous owner painted the frame. Some minor scratches on the paint.  Given its age in very good condition, no damage to the upholstery. Source: book Collection Gispen, NAI publishers, page 132.

This model was often used for class rooms of Technical Universities (Technische Hogescholen) in The Netherlands. Many students received their master’s or PhD degree. Marked: TU Delft.
